I wanted to turn my Father's old Vietnam-era duffle into a travel bag that would last another 50 years. The result is the Repurposed Military Travel Tote. Each bag is made from salvaged military canvas. They are meticulously deconstructed and transformed into a modern traveler with built-in history. No two are alike and bear the unique markings of their former lives. Some even have the names of those they belonged to.
Made from genuine US military bags. Full-grain leather and solid brass hardware.

Second time selling and I finally bought this repurposed tote. I’m very pleased that the material is heavy cotton duck with thick FG cow leather trim, handles, and shoulder strap, excella HD YKK zipper?. Love the design and details (snap exterior pocket and duffel handle’s nod to the military). I mainly use this as my EDC bag for work, but I’ll use it for the gym, projects, and travel. Essential organization, nothing extraneous. Thank you, Ryan, for bringing back this unique, highly efficient tote bag!
This is an amazingly sturdy, spacious, fantastic bag. This is going to last forever, can hold a small amount of things or a huge amount of traveling things.

The markings on this particular bag are extremely nice and the quality of production, as per other items previously purchased from WP Standard, is outstanding.
Given the materials used, the bag is quite unusual and sports a history all of its own, even before it arrives with you. I received the bag over the weekend and It's certainly a head-turner. I've given out WP Standard's contact details twice now in the space of just a few hours.
The leather used is full grain and sports no signs of any thin cuts being used, as you now find with some of the other key manufacturers. Great leather and US Military grade canvas, sporting some lovely scars and markings that may have otherwise been confined to a dark wardrobe or worse still, a landfill.
Again, a lovely idea and perfectly executed. If you are on the fence, take the above as a nudge in the right direction. I have bags from Saddleback Leather, Filson, Vermilyea Pelle, etc., and the quality is on par or greater in one particular disappointing case. I'm hard on my gear and don't baby it, thus I'll update the above if I can, once I've given the bag some real-world use.
