The Zip-Top briefcase is a diverse everyday carryall. It looks just at home in the hands of lawyer or an artist.....man or woman. We took a more minimalist approach and kept the bag compact, but still has plenty of room to house laptop, pens, notebooks etc. Additionally, there are two external pockets for easy access as well. Further increasing the flexibility of our already versatile zip-top briefcase is the detachable strap.

4 Stars. Overall, I am happy with the briefcase. There was a hiccup with the zipper early on, but the response was good. The follow-up was not as strong as the initial response. This is the third product I’ve purchased from WP (Boxcar Duffle and Tote are the others) and the leather is high quality on all of the products. My only concern at this point is that their is a point in the zipper that catches could cause the zipper to come off track again.
The briefcase is amazing, beautiful construction, and has great buildout in the interior. Unfortunately for me I have a 15" Macbook Pro that is a little too tall for this case.
I have the restyled zip-top briefcase (shown here) and the retired style (retired style had the top flap). There's no inside shots of the newer briefcase as of this writing (get some put up Ryan!), so I'll tell you about it. The inside is lined in soft, light gold colored suede which looks and feels very grand. There is a wide, suede slip pocket along the entire back wall that is pleasantly loose so you can easily slip a laptop or files into it. It does kind of bend the tabs on my files when I zip it up, which is a pet peeve I have. It would have been nice if the brief was about 2” taller. Along the front internal wall there are two leather sewn in slip pockets that go about ¾ of the way down the wall. One pocket is a little bigger then the other and will accommodate my plus sized phone in a case. The other is a little smaller and is a nice size to fit something like Saddleback’s ID wallet. This is a slimmer style briefcase; personally I think an extra 2” or 3” inches added to the depth would be a touch more functional. The strap was a little long for me to wear crossbody (female, 5’5), so I punched an extra hole. The brief is very well constructed and I LOVE the copper rivet accents on the front and back outside pockets. Visually, this bag is simply beautiful. The leather is the most gorgeous, thick, light honey color. It will last a very long time, and look good all the while.
