On Personalization

On Personalization

I like the idea of personalization. There's a future grandfather somewhere inside of me that pictures a tow-headed boy dusting off an old bag to reveal his pappy's (my self-given grandpa name) initials. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

My friend Aiden shot a little video of the process of the stamping with Jeremiah doing his best to look skillful and focused (he is). Hope you enjoy a little peek behind the curtains. And if Keith Richards happens to be reading this, apologies for the unlicensed use of "Dead Flowers" playing in the background.

Another note on personalization. In 2001 a roommate of mine gave me a copy of his favorite book, The Stranger. I was leafing through it the other day and came across a dedication he made on the title page. "To Barr, From your buddy Ben. May you always live your life purposefully." Like my friend Ben who wrote this, I hope you too are living life purposefully. -RB
